Three Detained for Attempted Break-in of Drug Den in Buenos Aires

In Buenos Aires, the City Police detained three people for attempting to forcibly break into a drug den that had been sealed off days earlier in the Villa Santa Rita neighborhood. According to police sources reported to the Argentine News Agency, the detainees were of Dominican nationality and were trying to enter the property located at César Díaz 2900 using sledgehammers. During a raid on February 25th, seven search warrants were executed, where a loaded firearm and a large quantity of narcotics were seized. Four members of the investigated organization were also detained. It was confirmed that one of the raided properties was a government-owned building that was being used as a drug sales point, which is why it was sealed to prevent it from continuing to be used as a bunker. Days later, neighbors reported suspicious noises to the police, and officers found two men and a woman trying to break down the sealed wall of the apartment with a hammer and a mallet. There, a 53-year-old Dominican citizen, a 48-year-old Dominican woman, and a 59-year-old Argentine were detained.
